McDonald’s Is Giving Out Free Fries Every Friday — Here’s How To Get Yours

I’ve literally never met a single person who doesn’t love McDonald’s french fries. When you get them fresh — and frankly, they sell so quickly at my local store that they’re always fresh because they have to keep throwing batches in — they’re hot, crispy, salty perfection. The only thing better is not having to pay for them, right? Well, now you don’t have to because McDonald’s is giving away free fries every Friday through June 28.

  1. Yep, that’s right, totally free. If you take part in McDonald’s “Free Fries on Fry Day” promotion, you can get a free medium fries every Friday through the end of June, according to Chew Boom.
  2. There’s one minor catch, of course. While the fries themselves are free, you can’t just walk into your local McDonald’s and demand them. You have to spend $1 to cash in, which is no big deal, especially because you’ll probably want something else to go with your fries. Maybe that’s a cheeseburger, maybe an apple pie, maybe a milkshake (or all three).
  3. So how do you get the deal? You’ll need to use the Mobile Order & Pay app on the McDonald’s website after 11 a.m. and go to the “deals” section. When you click on the offer, you can get one order of free fries per customer. (That’s right, you can’t go back 10 times a day, sadly.)
  4. You don’t even have to go to your local store. Most McDonald’s in the US are still doing drive-thru, carry out, and McDelivery. That means if your local store is doing any of the above, they’re all options you can use to get your free fries.
  5. This is the best news I’ve heard in a long time. Frankly, I’d happily pay for McDonald’s fries because they’re absolutely delicious and well worth the money. However, getting them for free is the best news I’ve heard in a while, and I think we all need as much good news as we can get.
