Mother Hits Teen Daughter With Flip Flop After Throwing It From An Impossibly Long Distance During Fight

A teen girl was so shocked to be hit by a flying flip flop thrown by her mother during a fight that she fell over onto the ground. The squabble, which took place in Mexico, led the mother to launch the footwear nearly 30 meters away to where her daughter had run, and it miraculously hit her square between the shoulders. Even better, the whole thing was caught on camera.

  1. It must have been some fight! The girl ran away after the family fight, and it’s unclear whether the mother’s decision to throw a flip flop was meant to stop her, injure her, or simply shock her. Violence is never right under any circumstance, but you have to admit, that’s some aim!
  2. Someone was egging the mother on. In the background of the video, a male voice can be heard chanting, “Go on, hit her, hit her!” and that’s exactly what she does. After the flip flop lands, the teen girl falls to the ground in surprise and the mother keels over laughing. While the daughter wasn’t seriously injured – how could she be just by being hit with a flying flip flop? – it’s still a strange thing to laugh at!
  3. The video immediately went viral on Twitter. After it was posted on the social media network, it quickly garnered millions of views and more than 60,000 likes from commenters who were incredibly amused at the clip. “That flip-flop has a heat-seeking radar for sure,” one person wrote. Another added, “All my respect and admiration to that lady! That should be an Olympic sport!”
  4. Here’s hoping the mother and daughter were able to work things out. Perhaps this incident brought an immediate stop to the fight, and both mother and daughter were able to laugh at the ridiculousness of the whole situation. Here’s hoping it had a happy ending like that!
