How many succulents is too many succulents? I’ve asked myself this question many times, especially over the past few months, as I’ve bought another and another to add to my collections. The answer, I’ve decided, is that it’s impossible to have too many succulents and in fact, there are never enough, especially now that I’ve discovered rose succulents and want a million and one of them in every corner of my house.

- How do these even exist?! While there are more than a hundred varieties of succulent, all of which are beautiful and unique in their own ways, sometimes I discover a new one that kinda takes my breath away. That’s definitely the case with rose succulents.
- They look exactly like their namesake. The rose succulent, scientific name Greenovia Dodrentalis, doesn’t just bear a slight resemblance to the flower for which it’s named. It literally looks exactly like an actual rose which blows my mind. (Maybe I’m just a bit simple!) I just can’t help but think of how amazing nature is that it can create designs like this.
- As far as succulents go, they stay pretty small. Rose succulents only reach a height of 6 inches at full maturity, which is pretty adorable. They tend to grow in clusters (all the better since I want a million of them) and like most succulents, they really love the sun. This variety in particular is native to the Canary Islands, so these beauties REALLY love that Vitamin D hit.
- If you don’t have a lot of space, this is a great plant to have around. In addition to being beautiful, because rose succulents are so small, they’re great plants for people who want to be surrounded by greenery but are short on space. You can keep them indoors or out so long as they’re well-drained and get the aforementioned abundant sunlight.
