A woman who was wanted by police in connection with a shooting was arrested and charged after she replied to a police post inquiring about reward money. The Tulsa Police Department implored members of the public to come forward with any information they might have about Lorraine Graves and any tips that could help lead them to her. Unexpectedly, Graves herself decided to comment on the post to ask how she might claim the money since she was the one they wanted to find, after all. I’m not sure if she’s dumb, hilarious, or both!
- Graves was wanted for a serious crime. The Tulsa PD’s post was published to Facebook on July 14 and explained that Graves was wanted as an accessory to murder in the case of the homicide of Eric Graves, who’d been shot to death. In other words, this was no traffic violation or simple drugs charge.
- Graves must have known her time was limited. Grave started responding to the police department’s post shortly after, asking about reward money. Her friends on the social media network warned her to stay offline and pointed out that the cops would likely be able to track her for posting. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the cops located her easily.
- She was arrested the next day. At roughly 4:30 p.m. the following day, detectives arrested Graves and charged her with accessory to murder. She was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on $500,000 bond.
- So what exactly is Graves accused of doing? According to court documents, Eric Graves was killed during a “shootout” at an apartment complex on March 13, and Graves is said to have “facilitated the discarding of the potential murder weapon” by giving one of the suspects a ride to another location following Eric Graves’ death.
