- It comes with everything you need to get started. The kit doesn’t just come with a bunch of seeds. Yes, you get Japanese cherry blossom flowering Bonsai seeds, but you also get a ceramic vase, Bonsai potting mix, some pebbles, and an instruction guide with all the tips and tricks you need to get started.
- Don’t expect your cherry blossom bonsai to sprout overnight. In addition to having to soak the seeds for a full day, they’ll then have to be wrapped in a wet paper towel and kept in your fridge for four to eight weeks, meaning it’s going to be a long while before you see the plant growing. Be patient! It’ll pay off in the end!
- It can take up to three years for a bonsai tree to properly sprout. That’s even the case for the cherry blossom variety in this kit. Some people don’t seem to understand that, which accounts for many of the lackluster reviews on the Amazon product page. Maybe they should come back in a few years and share whether or not they were successful. Something tells me they’d be happy they waited!
