I don’t know about you, but I’m always looking for delicious new ways to spice up my drinking game. Like, I want some boozy goodness but I also want something that tastes super delicious. In fact, I wouldn’t mind having my drinks and my dessert combined, which is why the Bushwhacker is such an ingenious cocktail, if you can call it that.
- Bushwhackers are basically like adult milkshakes. I know regular milkshakes can be for adults too, but this one is definitely not for kids. In fact, you’ll probably have to limit yourself to just one of these babies because they really do pack a punch.
- Most Bushwhackers contain 6 different types of alcohol. Generally speaking, you can expect to find vodka, Baileys, Kahlua, rum, Amaretto, creme de cacao, and Cream of Coconut. In other words, this one isn’t for the faint of heart. Prepare to get absolutely hammered because that’s more than likely what’s going to happen.
- This delicious drink has been around since the 1970s. In fact, it was in 1975 that the owner of Pensacola, Florida establishment Sandshaker Bar made the drink a hit after he tried it during a visit to Sapphire Beach Village on St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. He loved it so much, he brought it back to the States and the rest, as they say, is history.
- It couldn’t be simpler to put together. All you have to do is throw all your ingredients into a blender and mix it up until smooth. Don’t forget the ice, of course, which is what will help give it that incredible milkshake texture. You could always add some extra milk if you want, but that’s by no means necessary and some bartenders would be vehemently against it.
- The Bushwhacker is the cocktail you never knew you needed. Hey, it’s the weekend. What else do you have to drink?
