DoorDash Driver Sparks Debate After Eating Customer’s Food Who Didn’t Tip

The debate around tipping culture in the U.S. is still raging. Those in the service industry, many of whom work for less than minimum wage and rely on tips to be able to make up the shortfall, insist that tipping is necessary. However, many patrons don’t believe they should have to compensate for cheap bosses who refuse to pay a living wage.

Who’s in the right? That depends. However, one DoorDash driver isn’t playing around with customers who don’t tip, and he recently posted a TikTok clip of himself eating the customer’s food rather than delivering it.

No tip, no food.

The TikToker, who uses the handle @sidehustleaddict, chowed down on a customer’s order on the app after realizing that they didn’t add a tip via the app.

“Oh [snap], look what we got today, fam, haha!” he laughs. “A DoorDash non-tipper again.”

“Oh man, yesterday DoorDash was doing a reminder for DoorDashh non-tippers to tip or else you’re gonna wait like, 3 hours for your Taco Bell, at least.”

“But apparently, these DoorDash non-tippers don’t understand – let’s see what he’s got in the bag.”

The driver had no qualms about chowing down with glee.

After rummaging through the bag, the driver pulled out a hashbrown, a sachet of apple sauce, and a steak breakfast chalupa.

He then took a huge bite of the steak chalupa, saying, “You know, I be telling these DoorDash non-tippers, right, no tip, I eat!”

This wasn’t the only video he’s posted of himself eating customers’ food, either.

The reaction has been pretty divided.

While some people admittedly found the clip hilarious, posting plenty of laughing emojis, not everyone thought it was funny. In fact, many thought the behavior reeked of entitlement.

“Happy I go And get my own food can’t be giving free money to people just driving,” one person wrote.

Another added, “Hope you get fired bro – idk why you’d flex not doing your job.”
