Drunk Guy Makes Jack Daniel’s Water Fountain For His Back Yard

People do a lot of stupid things when drunk, that’s for sure, but there are rare moments of genius that come through, and I’d say this certainly counts as one of them. A guy named Dave Tonks, a 53-year-old pest control technician, and his partner Lisa came up with one of the most incredible inventions you’ll ever see. It’s a Jack Daniel’s fountain and it’s glorious!

  1. The bottles were originally being saved for candles. As LADbible reports, Dave and Lisa enjoy Jack Daniel’s sometimes and were saving the bottles to turn them into candle holders. However, after a few drinks one night, they decided to put them to better use and Dave got to work. Not long after, the fountain/water feature was born.
  2. He made it with stuff that was lying around the house. Dave didn’t even have to leave the house for materials to complete his Jack Daniel’s fountain. Using a collection of random items, he put the impressive piece together in no time.”I made it with bits and pieces laying around the garden and used the pump from an old fountain,” he explained. “I was saving the bottles to put candles in them. It was my partner’s idea to make a water feature out of them. She did most of the design, to be fair.”
  3. Despite being drunk during its construction, the Jack Daniel’s fountain turned out pretty good. “It was a nice day and I was pretty drunk and just knocked it all together,” Dave said of the project. From the looks of things, it does indeed seem like it worked out pretty well. “It was a pump from an old water feature that I adapted with LED lights. The smoke machine was bought years ago.”
  4. Sadly, it’s not properly operational at this point. While water does indeed flow through the fountain at this stage, it’s not actually dispensing real Jack Daniel’s. The color is actually just coffee added to the water for effect. “I would love to try it with real JD and Coke, but it would cost a fortune,” Dave said.
  5. He’s been inundated with requests from people who want their own Jack Daniel’s fountain. He’s not in the business of making and selling these things, but if he ever runs out of pest control work, I bet he’d make a nice bit of money doing this on the side!
