A Florida barber was arrested after he allegedly shot at two clients who confronted him over missed appointments. John Digiovanni, 35, was charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder after firing at the men in a church parking lot in Boca Raton, WPTV reports. One of the men told police that they’d called Digiovanni out the previous night for making appointments with them two weeks in a row but not showing up for either of them.
- Digiovanni didn’t take the confrontation well. When the clients called him on repeatedly making appointments but not keeping them, Digiovanni is said to have started yelling and threatening the men. However, wanting to smooth things over, they invited him to meet up to discuss whatever was bothering him and clear the air.
- The barber showed up with a gun. All three men were scheduled to meet in the parking lot of the First United Methodist Church on Mizner Boulevard. However, when Digiovanni showed up, he began yelling from his car window before pulling out a gun and firing three shots at the men, authorities say.
- Thankfully, neither of the men was hurt. While it was clear that Digiovanni meant to injure or even kill the men over the petty argument, the shots missed and both men escaped unharmed. Surveillance footage corroborated the men’s story, proving that Digiovanni really did try to shoot them.
- Digiovanni was arrested and charged soon after. He was booked into Palm Beach County Jail and held without bail. His trial is forthcoming. If convicted, he faces a pretty hefty prison sentence.
