The idea of marrying your high school sweetheart and living happily ever after is something of a pipe dream. After all, when you’re young and inexperienced, the idea of making it last with your teen boyfriend or girlfriend for the rest of your life isn’t exactly common. However, sometimes, as they say, when you know, you know. That’s certainly the case for Thomas and Nancy, though it took them a while to get there. Finally, 60 years after they first connected, they’re getting married!

In a TikTok video posted by Ada Yamila Vila, we see Thomas waiting at Tampa International Airport for his high school sweetheart, Nancy. The clip then switches to Thomas down on one knee and reading a speech he wrote for Nancy as she cries and holds his hand. We then see their family and friends celebrating their new engagement with signs and balloons.

Thomas’ speech left no dry eyes, with viewers absolutely losing it over how sweet and pure his words were for Nancy.
