Starbucks Baristas Are Starting To Wish Customers Would Chill Out With The Insane Drink Requests

One of the best parts of going to Starbucks is knowing that when you want something a little different, there’s a whole massive secret menu of caffeinated (or non-caffeinated!) creations to choose from. However, while Starbucks baristas are happy to indulge even customers’ wildest wishes, there are some people who really seem to go a little too far with their requests and it’s testing employees’ patience.

  1. Insane Starbucks orders have become a trend on TikTok. While the Starbucks secret menu is a well-known and beloved part of the coffee chain’s offerings, there is such a thing as going overboard. When Starbucks employee Josie took to Twitter earlier this week to share a snapshot of a customer’s insanely lengthy order on the cup label, it became clear things have hit another level. “On [today’s] episode of why I wanna quit my job,” she captioned the tweet, which quickly went viral. (Note: it’s since been deleted. Hope she didn’t lose her job!)
  2. “Edward” ordered one hell of a drink. The customer seemed to be ordering a complex (and frankly diabetes-inducing) Venti Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino and it had a whopping 13 ingredients: 5 banana, extra caramel drizzle, extra whip, extra ice, extra cinnamon dolce top, 7 pumps of dark caramel sauce, extra caramel crunch, 1 pump honey blend, extra salted brown butter, 5 pumps of frap roast coffee, 7 added frapp chips, and heavy cream, all double-blended. My teeth feel like they’re rotting out of my mouth just reading this!
  3. Guys, baristas are really struggling. I don’t know how things are where you are, but anytime I go to Starbucks, it’s always very busy. While baristas are kind enough to indulge customers on custom drinks, some of these are jokes. So much so that other baristas came under the thread to share their own crazy concoctions they’ve made. One barista even shared a picture of an order she gets every week with 29 ingredients!
  4. Let’s try to be a little more considerate with our orders. Yes, order what you want and have fun with it, but also think about your barista’s time and try to be a bit more thoughtful.
