Successful People Never Let These 12 Obstacles Stand In Their Way

How much are you willing to risk to achieve your dreams? Although it’s easy to look at successful people who’ve achieved their dreams and call them lucky or pretend that they’ve got special potions and spells, the truth is that they’re willing to work hard and never lose focus. Here are 12 things successful people never allow to get in their way, and that’s why they’re a force to be reckoned with.

1. Human Storm Clouds

Although having a successful mindset means being open to different ideas and approaches, you don’t want to surround yourself with people who always say “no.” You pitch them a new idea and they say it’s not going to work. You come up with a cool invention and they say no one will buy it. Have these negative people done their research or are they just keen to pee on your parade? Rather surround yourself with people who feel as excited about your projects as you are. That’s what successful people do.

2. Knee-Wobbling Fears

One of the biggest challenges in life is dealing with fear. Maybe you fear that you’re going to fail at your goals or you don’t have enough time to focus on achieving them. Whatever the fear, successful people don’t let it stand in their way. Instead, they challenge their fears. If they fear not having enough time to work on their goals, they decide to take 10 minutes a day and see what happens. Once confronted, fears tend to run and hide.

4. Soul-Crushing Doubts

We’re all consumed by doubts, like “What if I’m not good enough?” or “Will this plan really work or am I delusional?” Even the most successful people have entertained such doubts, but the key is to push them aside and forget about them. Once you put in the hard work to achieve your goal, you’ll challenge the doubts. Or, you’ll see that your doubts were valid. In this case, you have the opportunity to adjust your course. Successful people use doubts to their advantage.

5. Snakes On The Path

Obstacles that appear on the road to your dreams are like a snake that tries to cross your path. It’s tempting to want to turn around and say, “Never mind, forget it!” but no obstacle is worth trashing your dreams, and successful people know this. They’ll find ways around the snake, or obstacle, and have the patience to find an alternative path forward. It might take them longer than they thought, but that’s okay because they know it’s worth it.

6. Life Sacrifices

Whenever you’re chasing a big dream, you’re going to have to sacrifice something in your life. This could be time, energy, or money to help you reach your destination. It means that some of your resources can’t go to other things in your life, which is why your relationships could suffer. But, successful people will ask themselves how much they’re prepared to give to achieve their dreams and they surround themselves with people who support them so the compromises aren’t a dealbreaker.

7. Jealousy-Inducing Comparisons

It’s easy to compare yourself to others and feel like you fall short. Hey, just log onto X or Instagram and you’ll feel worthless. Successful people know that comparing themselves to others is fruitless. Everyone’s path to success is different, so you can’t really compare yourself to anyone. What happens when you compare yourself to others is that you lose sight of your happiness. Don’t let it happen.

8. Painful Rejections

Everyone has doors slammed in their face at some point and the rejection can really hurt. It can be so bad that it rattles you, making you think that you’ll never succeed. But don’t create stories about the rejection. It was just a “no” for the universe but it isn’t ever a permanent no. You just have to find a way to get a “yes.” Successful people never stop finding new ways to do that and eventually the red lights will turn green.

9. Toxic Relationships

The worst thing you can do to derail your success is spend time with people who drain you of your energy. Stop letting drama into your life. It pulls you away from your goals, and that’s when bad stuff happens. You end up exhausted with no energy to dedicate to your future. Worst of all, when they tornado through your life, they leave you with nothing.

10. Slips and Blunders

Hey, everyone makes mistakes now and then. They’re not something to beat yourself up about, right? Successful people know this, which is why they power through and try to forget about what they did wrong – but not before learning from it so that they continue to grow and never make the same mistake twice.

11. Scarcity Mindset

The scarcity mindset is when you think that there’s not enough money/success/happiness to go around, as though the universe has a certain amount to hand out and nothing more. But that’s BS! The more you focus on how little you have, the less you have. However, when you live from a place of abundance, you create more opportunities for yourself. Successful people know the value of practicing gratitude as it helps them focus on the positive, which keeps them motivated.

12. Distractions

Successful people don’t allow distractions in the moment to derail their efforts. They know how fiercely they need to protect their wellbeing and resources, so they won’t decide to party and drink all night and risk missing their presentation the following day. They stay focused and don’t allow temporary distractions to pull them from everything they’re working so hard to achieve.

13. Winds Of Change

Instead of fearing change, successful people are drawn to change. When it appears in their path, they embrace it because it’s a learning opportunity and a way for them to jump out of their comfort zone. Successful people don’t remain stuck in a box, ever – they leap out of it to take charge and pave their way forward.
