Ex-Taco Bell Employee Sues After Walking Into Colleagues Getting It On Instead Of Having Company Christmas Party

When you head to the company Christmas party, you probably expect a bit of booze, some mediocre snacks, and maybe some of your colleagues having a bit too much to drink and embarrassing themselves. What you don’t expect is to walk in not to a holiday party but to all of your colleagues getting it on.

Alana Bechiom said she had to quit her job at Taco Bell after a group of coworkers decided to go at it in full view at last year’s Christmas Party. Taco Bell later fired those involved after Bechiom reported them, but she’s now suing the company for what she’s been through.

Wait, what happened here?

According to Bechiom, she was invited to a potluck dinner at the Taco Bell location where she worked on December 18, 2022. She brought a bowl of guacamole for the buffet, but when she arrived, she noticed all the windows had been covered over in wrapping paper, as were the surveillance cameras.

Bechiom noted that her supervisor was plying everyone with alcohol, including some that she believed had been “overserved.” After stepping outside and coming back in, she noticed her colleague getting it on “with his wife in front of everyone at the party.”

She said that the colleague’s wife was simultaneously kissing two women – her manager and another employee. As a result, Alana Bechiom felt “shocked, disgusted, and outraged.”

She added that she was another group of coworkers all entangled together and that one of them was vomiting right into her guacamole bowl. Yikes!

Alana Bechiom was bullied out of her job.

According to a lawsuit filed by Bechiom at the Los Angeles County Superior Court on November 15, after her colleagues were fired for their extremely inappropriate behavior, it wasn’t long before she too had to quit.

She said fired colleagues were threatening her and one had even shattered her car window as a result of her reporting the incident. As a result, Bechiom felt she had no choice but to resign and get out of there.

Now, she’s seeking damages from Taco Bell.

Bechiom says that Taco Bell created a hostile work environment to the point that she felt she had no other recourse but to resign.

In response to the lawsuit, Taco Bell’s PR office told The Guardian, “While we don’t own or manage this location, the franchisee who owns and operates this restaurant has shared that they take these claims very seriously.”
