These Dangling Stress Balls Will Let You Squeeze Your Worries Away

Life is stressful, man. Between worrying about coronavirus, the world going haywire because of climate change, Trump being president, and general adulting responsibilities and worries, our anxiety as a culture is at an all-time high. Some people go for long runs or get in the kitchen to do some baking to relieve stress while others give a squeeze on these dangling stress balls*. If you haven’t tried the latter, I highly recommend it.

  1. They come courtesy of a French company called Imaginarte. The dangling stress balls, known as NiceBalls, started out as a Kickstarter back in 2017. Advertised as a “hanging prosthetic accessory that can be stuck to your work desk in a simple, discrete and efficient way,” the project ultimately raised more than €31,000 and was brought to life, thank goodness.
  2. It’s simple and straightforward to use. The top of the NiceBalls comes complete with a suction cup, which you can attach quickly to the underside of a desk or table where you want it. That’s literally all you need to do. Once you attach it, voila! Dangling stress balls are yours for the squeezing.
  3. They come in two different shades. You can get your NiceBalls in original pink or 70% Dark, which is a deep brown color, depending on your preference. They’re made of durable and hypoallergenic PVC so they’ll last you a long time, and considering they’re only $19.99, it’s a total bargain.
  4. They relieve stress AND give everyone a laugh. While not all offices will be cool with you having dangling stress balls under your desk, if your boss is laid-back, these can be a hilarious and relaxing addition to your workspace. When things get too heated or you’re stressed about an upcoming deadline, you can just reach under your desk and give them a squeeze (and try not to laugh while doing it).
