Fun Drinking Games To Play With A Guy You Just Started Dating

If you’re looking for a way to spice up your date night, thinking up some drinking games to play is a good way to start. All you need is an enthusiastic partner and some alcohol. Remember, always set limits for how much you’re willing to drink and how far you’re willing to go with the sexy games. Most of all, have fun!

  1. The quiz game This one is straightforward. You and your partner take turns asking questions, such as, “What day of the week was our first date?” or “When did we have sex for the first time?” These questions can be as chatty or as dirty as you want them to be. When one of you gives the wrong answer, you drink. You’ll learn a little about your partner, and if you ask the right questions, the game can get pretty steamy. Of all the drinking games to play with a crush, this is a great place to start.
  2. Two truths and a lie You’ve probably been playing this game since you were a kid, but it can be really fun with a partner, too. You take turns saying two truths about yourself and one lie, and the other person has to guess which is the lie. If they guess wrong, they drink. While this game probably works best for new couples who still have a lot to learn about each other, it can be a great way for people in long-term relationships to surprise each other.
  3. Sip and strip This is one of those drinking games you play when you want to turn the temperature up. All you need is a quarter (and alcohol, of course). Take turns flipping the coin. The other person has to guess whether it’s heads or tails. If they’re wrong the first time, they drink and have to guess again on the next toss. If they’re wrong a second time in a row, they have to take off a piece of clothing. If they guess right, the next person goes.
  4. Taboo If you don’t have the card version of this, do a quick internet search of “taboo game.” You’ll get a list of words that you have to describe, and three words that you can’t use to describe them. For example, you might have to describe “accident,” but not be allowed to use the words “ambulance, hurt, or hospital.” You have to talk about the word without pausing or repeating yourself for 60 seconds. If you succeed, the other person goes. If you repeat yourself, hesitate, or use one of the banned words, you drink.
  5. The dad jokes game Depending on your sense of humor, you may find this one a real challenge. Do an internet search for a list of dad jokes, and take turns reading them to each other. If a joke you tell makes your partner crack a smile, they drink. If they don’t, you drink. This game creates a lighthearted atmosphere and is especially fun to play if you enjoy a bit of acting. The funnier you can make a bad joke sound, the more successful you will be. This is one of those drinking games you could play with friends too, of course.
  6. Russian roulette Line up six shot glasses and fill four of them with water and two of them with vodka (or any other clear liquor). Mix the glasses around so you lose track of what’s in each. In turns, take a shot. If it’s water, fill it up again and mix up the glasses to start a new turn. If it’s alcohol, you have to perform a dare that your partner devises. Make sure you’ve set parameters so it doesn’t get too out of hand. This is one of the best drinking games to play if you’re a little more daring.
  7. The category game Pick a random category, such as fruit or famous authors. Take turns saying something that fits in that category. For example, for fruit, you would go back and forth saying things like, “grapes,” “apples,” “pineapple,” etc. The first person to hesitate or say something outside the category has to drink. The winner gets to choose the next category.
  8. Red or black, higher or lower Take a well-shuffled deck of cards and assign an article of clothing to each number (2-10). Then assign a body part to the face cards. Take turns picking a card without looking at it. Guess if it’s red or black. If you’re wrong, you take a drink and the other person picks a card. If you’re right, guess whether that card is higher or lower than the last card. If you’re wrong, you have to remove the piece of clothing that corresponds with the number on the card. If it’s a face card, you have to kiss/lick that part of your partner’s body. This game is not for the faint of heart.
  9. Trivia This is a game for the nerds among us. Look up a list of trivia questions online and take turns asking each other. The person who answers incorrectly has to drink. If you answer correctly, the next person goes. You can even tailor it to your mutual interests, such as movie trivia, geography, science, or pop culture.
  10. Never have I ever You know the drill. You take turns saying things you’ve never done, such as “never have I ever had sex outside,” or “never have I ever hooked up with a total stranger.” If the other person has done the thing, they drink. If they haven’t, neither of you drinks. This game can be as innocent or as dirty as you want it to be. The tipsier you get, the more revealing it becomes. Just make sure you’ve established a judgment-free zone.
  11. Ride the bus The rules for this drinking game can seem pretty complicated at first, but once you get the basics down, you’ll be good to go. You’ll need more than just the guy you like for this one, as it works best with multiple players. However, it’s a whole lot of fun and would still be great to play with your new crush.
