Fans and supporters of Mia Khalifa have started a petition to have the 27-year-old’s adult videos removed from the internet following Khalifa’s social media posts revealing how much she still struggles with her short time in the industry when she was 21. So far, the petition on Change.org has more than half a million signatures and counting.
I just want B*angbros to stop actively putting me in harm's way by promoting my 6-year-old videos like they're new, making millions of ppl think I'm still active. The death threats are emotionally crippling, I haven't felt safe even going to the grocery store alone in years.

Khalifa’s time in the adult film industry was short but brutal. While she completed 11 videos in the three months she spent in the industry, Khalifa says that now, even six years later, she’s still haunted by her experience. She described it as the “lowest, most toxic, most uncharacteristic 3 months of [her] life” and revealed that she was manipulated into participating. Not only that, but she still receives death threats and feels unsafe in her day to day life.
She wasn’t truly aware of what she was getting herself into. In an interview with Hero Magazine, Khalifa explained how she got involved in the industry, recalling that she was approached by someone who offered her an opportunity in the modeling industry. “I looked up the website and saw it was a lot of nude modeling… It was just full of people who made you feel safe, and not at all like this was some shady thing to do. I got swept up in that pretty easily,” she explained. “I kind of felt like it wasn’t a big deal and maybe I could do it and no-one would find out, it could be a fun thing to try out. So I said yes.”
While Khalifa has moved on, the internet hasn’t. She’s the most-watched star in P*rnhub’s history and her videos still exist on that site as well as Bangbros, much to her chagrin. What’s worse, these sites continue to profit off her videos by promoting them as if they’re new, making people think Khalifa is still involved in the industry. “My fight isn’t with P*rnhub, it’s with B*angBros. PH is home to some strong, independent, entrepreneurial women who own, produce and distribute their own content. I AM NOT HERE TO GET IN THE WAY OF ANYONE’S BAG,” she tweeted this week. “I just want B*angbros to stop actively putting me in harm’s way by promoting my 6-year-old videos like they’re new, making millions of ppl think I’m still active. The death threats are emotionally crippling, I haven’t felt safe even going to the grocery store alone in years.”
The new petition calls for Mia Khalifa’s videos to be removed altogether. The Change.org petition reads, “The now 27-year-old Mia Khalifa appeared in the … industry for a short span of 3 months in 2014 at the then age of 21. She was only paid $12k from the millions of dollars that Pornhub and BangBros make off her videos. The infamous hijab video has collected ISIS death threats that have targeted Mia from the video’s release in 2014 to today. Mia attends therapy on a consistent basis for trauma, emotional distress, and consequences of bullying. Mia and her team have provided countless financial offers to the current owners of her domain name and … videos to no avail. Big corporations are not giving Mia Khalifa a fair chance to demand her content in court due to financial advantage.”
Here’s hoping the videos can be removed and Khalifa can begin to move on with her life. No one should have to live through that. She was young and she made a mistake. Why should she be punished for the rest of her life for it?
